Hello, dear readers. Inherent in the mission statement of The Bright Side Project is the unspoken belief that to “Do What You Love, Love What You Do” is an absolutely essential component in creating a happy and healthy lifestyle. Every now and then, we will ask our contributors to answer a few short questions on the ideas of happiness, creativity and sunshine. We hope these rays of light help inspire you to find the sunshine in your day, today and everyday.
Today we are honored to introduce you to Cristina from FrEEna.
Please introduce yourself to our readers and explain a little bit about your business.
Hello, my name is Cristina and I like to dream, travel, love and create. I was born and raised in Europe, Romania, where my passion for art started. I’m very detail oriented and I put a lot of time and energy in what I do. Every product gets special treatment, they are made with care and delivered in the same way.
Of all the jobs I had, this is the most satisfying experience; knowing that somewhere, across the ocean, someone is wearing what my hands made. Since I was a little girl, I liked crafts and making dolls, repurposing things around me. I remember having a favorite accessory or toy, something that I would carry around all day. It wasn’t gold anything expensive, but it was precious to me. That’s what I want to create: unique, affordable, happy items.
We believe that one of the ways to achieve happiness is to “Do what you love, love what you do.” How does this philosophy apply to your life?
I very much agree. I am very thankful to be able to do what I love. As much as I enjoy it, I still have days when it feels like it doesn’t pay off. In those days, I have to turn the switch to “love what you do” . That helps me stay focus and continue working.
Our mission here at The Bright Side Project is to spread sunshine on a daily basis because we firmly believe that life is (still) beautiful. Where do you find beauty and inspiration?
Fabric and vintage stores are always a great inspiration. Reading, traveling, taking lots of pictures helps the creative process too.
On a dreary day, what do you do to infuse your life with a little bit of sunshine?
At this very moment, what are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for a wonderful family and peace in my heart.
