Hello, dear readers. One special new feature we’ve added this year is the occasional spotlight on one of our contributors. Inherent in the mission statement of The Bright Side Project is the unspoken belief that to “Do What You Love, Love What You Do” is an absolutely essential component in creating a happy and healthy lifestyle. Every now and then, we will ask our contributors to answer a few short questions on the ideas of happiness, creativity and sunshine. We hope these rays of light help inspire you to find the sunshine in your day, today and everyday.
Today we are honored to introduce you to sew a song.
Please introduce yourself to our readers and explain a little bit about your business.
My name is Eva Dueñas and I’m the person behind the desk of sew a song.
I’m from Barcelona where I live and find inspiration.
Photography and jewelry are my passions and I can’t decide which one is my favorite, it’s like having twins: you love them both the same.
We believe that one of the ways to achieve happiness is to “Do what you love, love what you do.” How does this philosophy apply to your life?
I think that I’m in a good way because I don’t feel like I’m “working”, I’m just having fun! Even when I’m not working my head is, inspiration is all around.
Our mission here at The Bright Side Project is to spread sunshine on a daily basis because we firmly that life is (still) beautiful. Where do you find beauty and inspiration?
I feel very lucky because I live in a Mediterranean city with great architecture, a serene sea and sunlight almost every day (for me, sun light is basic for good mood.) Barcelona is inspiring!
I find beauty in music. I always have a song in my head and I sing while I’m working. This is my song list for today:
1- “Diciembre” by Depedro
2- “The Greatest” by Cat Power
3- “Mi Vida Bajo el Agua” by Christina Rosenvinge
4- “The Last Living Rose” by PJ Harvey
5- “Seven Horses Seen” by Micah P. Hinson
On a dreary day, what do you do to infuse your life with a little bit of sunshine?
I really enjoy to wach the swallows from my balcony, the way they fly hypnotizes me.
Swallows are not in the city in winter so a cup of hot chocolate distracts my mind.
What are you most grateful for?
My family and my husband. He’s very patient and he accepts that I always have my mind flying as a swallow.
