Today we are honored to introduce you to Stevie from tru.che.

Please introduce yourself to our readers and explain a little bit about your business.

My name is Stevie and I make shiny things for a living.

We believe that one of the ways to achieve happiness is to “Do what you love, love what you do.” How does this philosophy apply to your life?

I am so fortunate to have a job that I adore. Everyday I create pieces that I love. The process of making jewelry is so rewarding and truly makes me happy.

Our mission here at The Bright Side Project is to spread sunshine on a daily basis because we firmly believe that life is (still) beautiful. Where do you find beauty and inspiration?

So many places! Nature inspires me most. Mother nature does it best, doesn’t she? I grew up in Michigan, with nature surrounding me. Beauty is everywhere, even in the small things. A leaf, a field, a tree. My family and friends inspire me daily. I’m constantly striving to find new techniques and create pieces that are unique and inspiring to others.

On a dreary day, what do you do to infuse your life with a little bit of sunshine?

A bit of yoga and a great cup of coffee can always get me going, even when it’s dreary.

What are you most grateful for?

I am most grateful for a loving husband and wonderful family. They are everything to me.

I love the Texas bag (but would love a Texas necklace even more!) My hometown, Spearman, is in the so-called Panhandle of Texas (“the square part on top,” as I tend to describe it). I’d say the best-kept secret of our little town is the fantastic windmill collection at the edge of town. It’s nothing to shake a stick at-people have come from as far as Canada to see it. It’s truly a treasure in our town of 3,200.

I am so excited to see this give-away today! Just two days ago, I started looking for a state pendant of Massachusetts and your fine silver “I heart massachusetts” necklace is exactly what I imagined/hoped I would find. It’s gorgeous. I grew up in a small town on Massachusetts’ south shore called Duxbury. My secret is this: in Duxbury we grow cranberries. I’ve tried to describe how beautiful this is to people, and I never quite capture it. When they harvest the berries, they flood the bogs and all of the cranberries rise to the top. So all over town, there are these huge swaths of breathtaking crimson nestled in the forests. It stops my heart every season. Then, in the winter, they flood the bogs to protect the berries. Every winter, my best friend, who lived on the edge of a bog, and I would go ice skating on the bogs and get lost among the flooded marshes in the trees. It was pure magic. I have been so homesick lately and longing for the cranberry bogs, and the shush of the ocean, and the waving beach grass on the shore, and the tall, sweet woods that I explored so often in my childhood. I long for the narrow streets down town and the best Danish ice cream I’ve ever had. Why is it that home sinks so far down into the heart of being? All of these memories are what inspired me to look for a MA pendant. I wanted to have all of this hanging over my heart where it belongs.
