The Lemonade Stand :: Who We Are

Wednesday, January 2, 2013

In order to start the year off right, we wanted to take a quick moment to introduce ourselves to you. We are a small team behind the scenes and sometimes pulling the curtain back a bit helps, don’t you think? We look forward to learning more about you, our community, and please feel free to contact us at any time…even if you just want to say hello!

Hi, friends! I am so happy to have been a part of The Bright Side Project for the last few years and really love the community that has taken shape here. I absolutely love my job and hope you feel that same passion when you visit. Honestly, our mission statement that life is inherently beautiful is something we take very seriously. I believe in the good. I believe in possibility. I believe in the silver lining. I can also be a “glass half empty” gal at times, in case you think I live with my head in the clouds. See, I believe in balance.

2013 is all about inspiration. Finding it, keeping it, honoring it. This year, I’ll be sharing my journey with nurturing my creative side. I promise to bring you more DIY projects (including some kid-friendly projects for those of you with little ones at home like me!) and other ways in which I plan to embrace creativity in my home, relationships, business.

I know that saying “This is going to be our year!” is a bit like jumping on the bandwagon. But, I’ll be honest. It’s a bandwagon I can totally get behind. This, friends, is going to be our year.

You can also find me here.

I’ve been working with The Bright Side Project for a couple years now and have loved every minute of it. It is a true joy to spend my time helping to bring sunshine to our amazing community.

As we begin the new year I am excited to share a bit about myself………

I seem to be in a constant pursuit of knowledge, a seeker of wisdom and I see life as the ultimate classroom. I take a lot of classes, whether online or in a physical location, I’ll be there. About a third of these are business related but the rest are based on psychology, spirituality and science. Now you may ask – why such a drive for knowledge? The answer is easy – I am so crazy curious about everything! So – getting a taste of a variety of concepts makes me very happy.

This year I plan to share some of the elements I have learned from time to time so perhaps you, too, will be introduced to concepts that could inspire and excite a new Bright Side of life.

So I’ll admit, coming out from behind the scenes at The Bright Side is a little unsettling for me. I have a journalism degree, I work in PR and marketing – these are careers based on the principle that if I do my job right everyone knows my company’s name, my CEO’s name and not mine. But, here I am! It’s scary, and exciting, and hopefully the beginning of awesome things!

I am SO excited to be working with the lovely ladies of The Bright Side Project. This is a vehicle for me to connect with a community of amazing, creative people, who are passionate about curating beautiful lives. I am honored to be a part of it.

In 2013 I hope to bring you food, drink and entertaining ideas that will help you create spaces in your life when you can be in the moment, enjoying tasty treats, smiling and laughing with those you love.

Happy New Year!
